Dr. Hal Huggins – Getting to the Root of Dental Decay

Categories: Health & Wellness
Dr. Hal Huggins

Dr. Hal Huggins

In his first interview on its rainmaking time, Dr. Hal Huggins called the most common procedures in modern dentistry into question, sharing advanced perspectives on root canals and mercury amalgam fillings that led to the revocation of his dentistry license in 1996. Dr. Hal Huggins returns to the show to provide a new framework for dental decay: its causes, complications, treatments, and most importantly, what we can do to avoid it. Since mercury amalgam fillings are toxic, are porcelain, gold, or plastic composite fillings better, and why? Dr. Hal Huggins explains the importance of biocompatibility when choosing material for fillings, the work of Dr. Weston Price, and the pioneering research of Dr. Ralph Steinman, which shows that dental decay is not local to the mouth. In fact, Dr. Steinman learned that dental decay is a systemic disease rooted in diet and the overall health of the body, a conclusion that is in conflict with the official perspective of the American Dental Association. Join us with Dr. Hal Huggins as we get to the root of dental decay and continue laying the groundwork for a new paradigm of dentistry.

Fascinating interview. Especially in the light of the recent admission by the WHO as to concerns over the use of amalgam dental fillings.

I wish I had listened to this interview before I had my teeth whitened – just the other day. Kim, can you get Dr Huggins back on and ask him to elaborate on what people can do to mitigate the harmful effects of bleaching, if he says the damage is more certainly evident after two or three years.

Do any of his books cover this topic?

    Jim

      Hi Jim,

There is an interview before this that you may want to listen to. It is also a very important interview. His website is given on that interview as well.
I don’t know if the books talk about bleaching as I have not read them all. Feel free to email them at his website. http://www.hugginsappliedhealing.com.

Wow! This is life changing and life saving information!
Thank you very much Kim form interviewing Dr Huggings.
I guess nothing can save me from partial dentures now but I surely will use the above knowldge to look after my 10month old daughter’s teeth!
Imagine, I had fitted 2 amalgam = mergury fillings while pregnant with her – and I made sure dentists knew I was expecting… that’s one dentist in Ireland (where I live) and one dentist in Slovakia (where I come from originaly).
Have to search now for an educated proffessional who will take this poison & mess out of my head!

      Hi Silvia,

I would call Dr. Huggins office for that information. They can help recommend a few people to you and your family. Good luck and thank you for listening.

so if protein is the tooth protector, why did milk cause so much tooth decay?

    • Site Admin Aug 7, 2015 @ 8:14

Milk has a rather high lactose content. It’s why milk tastes sweet!
