John Davis is at the heart of the burgeoning cannabis industry in the United States. He is the chairman of Seattle Hempfest’s board of directors and the CEO of the Northwest Patient Resource Center (NWPRC), a Seattle-based provider of high-quality medicinal cannabis and cannabis products. He is also the chairman for the Coalition For Cannabis Standard of Ethics and the National Cannabis Industry Association. Earlier this year, Diego Pellicer acquired NWPRC and plans to roll out dozens of legal marijuana stores in Washington and Colorado. As the reality of marijuana legalization takes root in the U.S., John Davis joins us to outline the issues facing the development of the industry, including zoning and permitting, federal law, meeting public demand, and to discuss the fine points of the role he and his industry colleagues have taken as stewards of a massive drug policy change in the United States.
