Rest in Peace, Steve Jobs…

Categories: Editorials & Commentary

It’s with great sadness and a feeling of profound loss that the world has lost one of its greatest entrepreneurs and visionaries. What Steve Jobs and Apple have created has brought so much joy and remarkable technology into the lives of so many people. My heart goes out to his wife Laurene and his four children, along with the entire Apple family. The vacuum left after the loss of someone so huge will be immense.

Even though I swore I would NEVER USE an APPLE COMPUTER for business, I have been an Apple customer since 2004. Ever since I was introduced to Apple, I have fallen in love with using the computer, the Macbook Pro, the iPod and soon, a new iPad. My life and work have changed drastically as computing became more intuitive, creative, joyful, and elegant. Steve Jobs was also a consummate packager, marketer and promoter.

When you remember Steve Jobs, remember this important quote from him:

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life,”  “Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs, thank you for all that you have generated for the world in your lifetime. Your legacy will be known for generations to come.

Click here for a beautiful speech he made to college graduates. It’s very touching and quite profound.

Rest in peace, Steve Jobs.
