Writer and adventurer extraordinaire Pam Grout returns to It’s Rainmaking Time!® – but this time, rather than breathing, we discuss her upcoming book E-squared: 9 Do-It-Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality. Although The Secret awoke the public to the art of manifestation, many wrote it off in discouragement when they failed to get results. Like any skill, it takes practice, as well as perseverance in the face of nagging self-doubt. What can you do when your dreams are too big to be supported by your faith in the process? Pam Grout joins us with a wealth of insight on manifesting the life of your dreams by starting small and learning to think big. Tune in as we discuss the principles she has used to manifest success in her own life.

Kim, whether or not Ms Grout is correct about manifesting in the material world, your and her point on negative thinking certainly has to strike a cord with any honestly cognisant being. I notice that both my bro-in-law and a good friend always seem to find a prime parking spot, wherever. I commented to my sister on her husband’s good fortune and he piped up that “It just seems to be there when I want it to be”. Years later I mentioned the same to my friend and he more or less reiterated the same point. Both have this thing about positive thinking.
I think my good fortunes have improved somewhat since I have tried over the past year to beat old ladies to a prime parking spot. I know that thinking positively certainly has banished the frown that used to court my face whilst on the hunt.
There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dealt of in your philosophy.

Amazing how many of my philosophies have changed since becoming acquainted with Rainmaking.

Ok, let’s say that you are a law enforcement officer or an assistant state attorney, what do you say to people who have been the victims of horrific crime..ie., rape, beating, maiming, terrorism, etc., is this “You create your own reality” going to be of any comfort or of any real substance to such victims of crime? I think not.

      Dear ____,

I agree with you. This metaphysical material can go way over the top and become Mumbo Jumbo if taken out of context. It can also become a weapon that is used on others to blame them for their own bad luck or misfortune. In essence, one can say at anytime that if another runs into something horrible that they created it.
It’s very irresponsible to say that and to impose this on others. I think you have a point and I can assure you that Pam would probably agree with it.
