My heart goes out to the people of Haiti. So many people have given and are giving. There is no end to what people will do to help their fellow brothers and sisters. People do care and there are more people who will try to help than will turn their backs on their fellow human beings. I believe that more people are good than are disconnected. There is no lack of caring or willingness to help. I see this all the time.
I cannot fathom the managerial ineffectiveness that accompanies of these kinds of emergencies and disasters. Who are the people in charge? Who is it that determines who has access to a population in need of emergency help? We should all probably know this, but I have no idea. Do you?
What I do know is that something is off-kilter beyond this earthquake. Doctors Without Borders showed up with an entire medical hospital and was turned away at the airport.
There should be a standard procedure for any military from around the world to transport food, water, and shelter to people who are suffering or traumatized because of a natural disaster. I simply do not understand the unnecessary time delays that are unfolding in this Disaster Zone. I don’t understand why former presidents of the USA are stepping in to raise money for the situation. I mean, raising money is great – but speed, organized relief, letting support in, and getting help to as many people as possible is key in avoiding death and the spread of disease and social panic. Speed & Effectiveness are critical. What needs to happen is a Military-Like Level of Precision of Relief, Care & Speed to Deliver Help in a Fast-Tracked & Organized Way. We need GREAT FACILITATION and LEADERSHIP that is QUICK TO THINK, ACT, & SERVE ASAP.
I don’t understand why the people in the disaster are not the first priority. First Priority means delivering immediate care, water, food, and shelter – and if necessary, planes and boats taking people in and out of Haiti for a period of time to get help, healing and care.
Time is of the essence! If we can conduct military operations from outer space, blow up cities at the push of a button, and coordinate military assignments with great precision, we can certainly provide timely Disaster Recovery, Relief, & Emergency Response.
I find it hard to accept that in 2010, those in the business of Emergency Relief seem incapable of doing so efficiently. With the advanced technology and mobile military teams we have across the world, and the agencies that are in place to deal with such issues, aid should not come so slowly to those in need. Katrina was not only a social and human disaster, but a Federal Management Disaster. Haiti is shaping up to be another Katrina.
If you have the authority to fly a plane or any kind of support into Haiti and are willing to bring food, water, and medical care; if you have a ship that you can get into the port; if you have telecommunications support or generators; or if you know someone who does; then let’s go! Let’s Go! Let’s Go! MOVE NOW!!

There is much in the way of parallel agendas that exist and are at work in this world. Even if it is all true and a great majority of people become aware; the question still remains what can be done? There is so much darkness and bad news that is permeating every facet of our existence. This negative, virulent, deadening, and dark expression of life on earth has a life of its own.
Our job is not to feed it and allow too much of it in our day to day lives. It is really easy to be led down the rabbit hole into this realm and never get to the wanted and needed solutions and adventures that are here for us right now. As for my own understanding, it is clear that there are networks of people who pull strings, organize world events and deliver them. Another disaster, Katrina, to take advantage of. ” We wanted to clean up this city a long time ago, but God did it for us, lets not let it go to waste”…90% of public schools replaced by charter private schools. Welfare housing bulldozed down and folks moved way out to trailer camps by fema, relocation centers. Blackwater personel flew in from Iraq to secure corporate programs and policy. Now Watch carefully every disturbance no matter how big or small, money will be made by the very few, the public will lose liberty. Body scanners record picture and they too will be distributed for money.
