Dr. Kaayla Daniel – Say It Ain’t Soy

Soy is one of the most heavily subsidized crops in the United States. Because it is so widely promoted as a miracle food, a healthy alternative to meat, and a solution to world hunger, it rarely occurs to us to think that none of these claims are true. Recently, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) rejected claims that soy eases menopause and promotes bone health, and issued a third strike against heart health claims. And despite its advertised preventive health benefits, soy has been linked to malnutrition, digestive distress, thyroid dysfunction, cognitive decline, reproductive disorders, infertility, birth defects, immune system breakdown, and heart disease in hundreds of epidemiological, clinical, and laboratory studies. It’s time to cut through the claims and get to the bottom of the conflicting data – and we’ve invited The Naughty Nutritionist™, Dr. Kaayla Daniel, to guide us through the information presented in her book The Whole Soy Story. Join us for a deep exploration of the various health claims, studies, hype, and misinformation surrounding this staple crop.

Arrgghh! My new favorite liposomal vitamin C from LivOn Labs is Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C… it lists soy lecithin as one of the “other ingredients”… how much soy lecithin is “bad”? More research is obviously needed for my own satisfaction. I’ll call and ask if their soy is GMO or not…

Called LivOn Labs this morning and they say their C is derived from non-GMO corn and the lecithin from non-GMO soy… and the soy protein is removed in the manufacturing process. They’ve been getting a lot of calls about labeling their products as non-GMO and are forwarding those requests to their marketing dept… not exactly sure what effect that will have.

I think this is the best vitamin C you can get and am happy about the non-GMO status. If anyone knows about a better vitamin C on the market I’d love to hear about it…

LivOn Labs is good. I am so glad that you found out that they don’t use GMO corn or lecithin, however, I would insist that the company put it in writing or at least on their website before I got heavily invested in it. I like them very much, however, since your own health is in your hands, it works to truly hold people accountable for what they represent. Thanks for listening.

Ate lots of supposedly healthy soy stuff in Sixties. Paid for it with hypothyroidism. GM soy gives me digestive problems but it’s hard to find food without it – no labeling on most pkgs either. More folks need to know this.

I take issue with a number of opinions expressed in Kaayla Daniel’s interview but, as a vegetarian, her propagation of the myth of Adolph Hitler being a vegetarian is at the top of my list: Hitler was not a vegetarian, his own chef allegedly testified to Hitler’s fondness of certain meat dishes. Here’s one disclaimer of the myth: http://www.naturalnews.com/025163.html

if you want further proof that Hitler wasnt a vegetarian read “Hitler neither Vegetarian Nor Animal lover” Does anyone know how I can help my asbestos related disease? I have plueral thickening and I am trying Zeolite but don’t know if this will help or can reach the pluera near the lungs.
