In his first appearance on It’s Rainmaking Time!®, Clouded Titles author Dave Krieger outlined the activities and implications of the role of MERS, Inc. in the U.S. real estate market. In the weeks that followed, the overwhelming email and phone response from our audience led us to invite Dave Krieger back for a follow-up interview. If you are currently working with realtors, title companies, lenders, and other real estate and mortgage personnel, and trying to avoid the potential fallout of a clouded title, this segment offers next steps and practical advice for securing a perfected title – and safeguarding against the predatory legal and financial landscape that surrounds property ownership today. Join us with Dave Krieger as we explore the remedies and solutions for a real estate industry gone mad.

I emailed earlier regarding a cash sale on a property in which the current owner has a loan on the property in which they used Stewart Title who used the MERS system. I took your advice and went to mersinc.org and search the servicers and found one servicer “JP Morgan Chase.” It seems that MERS in only involved when money is borrowed to buy the home. If the current owner used this system and we want to purchase this property via cash, how do we insure there is no clouded title and we can be in the clear?

Listen to the second segment and take notes. Call his company. I don’t know what else to advise. Good luck. Thank you for listening.
